MIDWIFE KITS ASSEMBLY TOMORROW, March 20th! CLLC will again be assembling Midwife kits that include life saving supplies for infants and mothers, through Lutheran World Relief. We are still in need of SOME regular bath towels, new or gently used, that can be brought to packing tomorrow. Assembly will start at 9:00am in the Undercroft and we hope to pack nearly 300 kits. Anyone and everyone is welcome to be a part of the assembly and packing!! Thank you to the Quilters for putting together this mission and especially Pat Williams for the lead on organizing this ministry!
FIRST COMMUNION CLASSES will be offered for our Welcome to the Table communion Milestone. While all ages are welcome to participate, our lessons are geared to 2nd - 5th grades. Classes will be held on the Sundays of March 19th and March 26th from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm.

As we look forward to celebrating the risen Christ at Easter, the Church Council is pleased to announce that something else has “risen” from the dead here at Chisago Lake - our Outreach Committee/Team! We are looking for a few good men, women and youth in the congregation who are on fire for Jesus and can help all of us at CLLC to live out our mission statement so we can better invite, welcome, share, serve, educate, and reach Center City and the surrounding communities with the love of God through Jesus! We are looking for people with an eye toward in-reach and better engaging our existing members. We’re also looking for people with an eye for outreach and better inviting and serving our neighbors. Finally, we’re looking for creative people who can help us make a better first impression and have a stronger reputation within the Chisago Lakes area. Opportunities abound on this team and it will be fun! (Just ask Lee Peterson – he’s already declared that I’m fun to work with). Under the guidance of Pastor Brian this group is bound to have a wonderful impact both within and outside the walls of CLLC. Please prayerfully consider joining this team as we seek to “Make Christ Known” through inviting, welcoming, growing, and serving! Chisago Lake Lutheran SPECIAL FOOD DRIVE!! Pastor Brian, has reached out to Family Pathways during their March Food Awareness campaign for Chisago Lake Lutheran to sponsor a special food drive on Saturday, March 25, at both Brink’s and Nick and Drew’s. We are looking for helpers to take an hour or two at one of those sites to pass out shopping lists that include the items usually shared with clients of our local Family Pathway’s Food Shelf. All one has to do is pass these to arriving customers and invite them to also purchase one or more of the items on the list and drop those items in special receptacles that will be at the entrance to each store. This approach generates huge numbers of donations which we will display in worship on March 26 and take to the Food Shelf on Monday, March 27. Join us Each Wednesday Night Beginning during Lent for Worship Series on B.L.E.S.S. at 6:00 p.m.
God’s way of reaching and restoring the world has always been through blessing. These five missional practices make up the acronym BLESS and are a way to participate in the strategy God gave Abraham to reach the world. “And I will bless you…and you will be a blessing” (Genesis 12:2). As we engage these practices daily, we partner with God’s Spirit to bless those who do not know him. Join us each Wednesday as together we learn how to reach more people with the good news about Jesus!
SOUP SUPPERS will again be happening Wednesdays during Lent. Supper will begin at 5:15 pm. These meals will be served through our Service Groups. Lenten Suppers have always been a great community builder here at CLLC through both sharing a meal and serving a meal. We are so blessed to be able to gather again in this way!

Sunday Morning Prayer Team! Psalm 100:4 says: "Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!" In my previous call, I was blessed to have a Sunday morning prayer team of men and women who were willing to pray over the Church, our worship service, and our pastors each Sunday about 30 minutes prior to our first service. While weird at first (I had no previous experience of such a thing), I came to treasure the blessing this was to me and our congregation to know that each Sunday our church and leaders were covered in prayer. I would invite any CLLC members who are interested to contact me and become part of a rotation for this purpose each Sunday morning. It would mean coming to worship about 30 minutes early and take about 5 minutes total. Email me at revdup@chisagolakelutheran.org if interested or contact the office.
Visitation: We will be starting up a lay visitation/home communion ministry team at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church. If you would like more information and are interested in joining this important ministry please contact Pastor Brian at revdup@chisagolakelutheran.org or contact the office.
