"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven."
-Ecclesiastes 3:1
BAPTISMS
In Holy Baptism, we honor Jesus’ commandment to “baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.” This is a time when an individual is welcomed into the body of Christ, joining with him and the whole people of God. In this fellowship of believers, the newly baptized is instructed and nurtured for a life of faith and service to the church and to the world.

FUNERALS
Every family experiences the grief of losing a loved one to accident, illness or advanced age at some point. When that inevitable event occurs, they need the loving support of the church to accompany them through their mourning. Chisago Lake Lutheran Church offers not only the services of its Pastor to conduct the funeral service, but also the services of its members. These services include praying for the families and being a presence during the grieving process. Congregational service groups provide the luncheon after the funeral. Their help is aimed toward making the time as easy on the family as possible, giving them the unconditional support and the love of a faith community.
If can be helpful to put your hopes and thoughts on paper regarding your own funeral one day, or the funeral of a loved one. See our Funeral Planning Worksheet for more information and suggestions.
If you are interested in any of the above, please contact the church office at 651-257-6300 or Email to [email protected]
