Grounded in the Gospel, Guided by the Spirit
Chisago Lake Lutheran Church is a congregation rooted in the Christian faith and abundant love of God for all people. Our Lutheran lens sheds light on how God invites us to see, experience, and interact with the world. We believe that are saved by the grace of God, not by our own doing or works (Ephesians 2:8). It is God who chooses us.
As Lutherans we practice two sacraments: holy communion and holy baptism. It is through these simple elements - bread, wine, water, and Word that we encounter the fullness of God's love made manifest for all.
Our lives, and all that we have, are a gift from God. We are invited daily, in our work, school, relationships, and play to share our faith in the ways we model Christ's love.
We are a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and proud to participate in the larger expression of what it means to "be church" together with our brothers and sisters across the globe.
All are welcome here! There is a place for you in the pew, at the font (or the back), and at God's table.

Our Philosophy of Ministry:
A ministry that reflects the entirety of Christian Life. A ministry keeping with the mission and traditions of the ELCA and Chisago Lake Lutheran Church. A ministry that reflects quality, integrity, and maturity in all of its aspects. A ministry that is cross-cultural, diverse and open. A ministry that will reach people of all ages and all levels of spiritual maturity. A ministry that maintains the liturgical traditions of the ELCA. A ministry that calls the laity to use their gifts of the spirit in worship. |
